According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Juventus has reached out to Arsenal regarding a potential transfer deal for midfielder Thomas Partey.
Partey, aged 30, played a crucial role for Arsenal last season as they made a strong push for the Premier League title.
However, in order to raise transfer funds for manager Mikel Arteta, the Ghanaian international could be sold during this summer transfer window.
While Arsenal has had two bids rejected by West Ham for Declan Rice, they are expected to return with a third offer.
Even if the Gunners fail to secure Rice’s signature, they may be open to allowing Partey to leave the club.
Saudi Arabia has shown interest in the former Atletico Madrid midfielder, who has scored five goals in 99 appearances for Arsenal since joining from the Spanish side in 2020.
Reports suggest that Arsenal has given Partey permission to explore a move to the Saudi Pro League, with the club hoping to make a profit on the midfielder, just three years after his £45m transfer from Atletico.
Transfer expert Romano has now revealed that Italian giants Juventus have also expressed interest in signing Partey this summer.
This development comes amidst uncertainty surrounding Adrien Rabiot’s future at Juventus, with the French international’s contract set to expire at the end of the month. Manchester United has been linked with a potential move for Rabiot.
Partey may not be the only midfielder departing Arsenal this summer, as Granit Xhaka has already agreed to join Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.
However, Arsenal will hold off on sanctioning Xhaka’s departure until they secure a replacement for the Swiss international.
