Reports suggest that Medeama, the current champions of the Ghana Premier League, have successfully secured the signing of midfielder Godknows Dzakpasu from Tamale City.
The official announcement of the acquisition is anticipated to be made by the Yellow and Mauves in the coming days.
The addition of the 26-year-old midfielder is aimed at strengthening Medeama’s squad as they prepare for the upcoming 2023/24 football season.
Dzakpasu had an impressive campaign with Tamale City, despite their inability to retain their place in the GPL. Throughout the season, he featured in 28 matches and netted 2 goals.
With Medeama set to represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League in the upcoming season, they face a challenging task of performing well on the continental stage, considering the recent underwhelming performances by Ghanaian clubs.
In their pursuit of making an impact in the competition, the Yellow and Mauve outfit has opted to reinforce their squad ahead of the new season.
Medeama is expected to secure the services of several high-quality players before the commencement of the upcoming season, aiming to assemble a formidable team capable of achieving success.
