Patric Pfeiffer may be set for a fresh start as FC Kaiserslautern reportedly line up a move for the German-Ghanaian defender.
Following a dip in form since joining FC Augsburg, the 25-year-old could be handed a lifeline by the ambitious 2. Bundesliga side.
According to Bild, Kaiserslautern have shown interest in Pfeiffer as they prepare for a potential defensive reshuffle. The club is also eyeing Maxwell Gyamfi, but Pfeiffer’s Bundesliga experience could make him a priority target.
Once a key figure at Darmstadt under coach Torsten Lieberknecht, Pfeiffer helped the team earn promotion to the Bundesliga. His move to Augsburg was expected to take him to the next level, but it has not worked out. He has struggled for consistent playing time and has failed to impress during loan spells in Bern and currently at Magdeburg.
While no official talks have been confirmed, the change in management at Kaiserslautern may open the door for new signings. Pfeiffer, who is under contract until 2027, is valued at €1.2 million.
