Ghanaian forward Kamal Sowah opened his scoring account for the season as NAC Breda battled to a thrilling 3-3 draw against Feyenoord in the Eredivisie on Sunday.
Feyenoord initially took the lead through Ayase Ueda, but Sowah quickly responded with a composed finish to bring NAC Breda level. The strike marked Sowah’s first goal of the campaign after 26 appearances, having previously managed only one assist.
Compatriot Andre Ayew later gave NAC Breda a 3-2 lead with a powerful header, registering his first goal since joining the Dutch side in the January transfer window. However, Feyenoord fought back, with Ueda netting again to secure a share of the spoils.
The match became even more challenging for NAC Breda after a late red card reduced them to ten men, but the goals from Sowah and Ayew provided a crucial boost for the Dutch club as they continue their fight to avoid relegation.
Sowah’s breakthrough will offer confidence to the Ghanaian international as he looks to make a stronger impact in the remainder of the season, while Ayew’s contribution further strengthens his case for a spot in Ghana’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
