Striker Prince Owusu Agyemang’s 83rd minute strike was all that Medeama needed to hold Karela United to a 1-1 draw at home in match day 9 of the Ghana Premier League.
Diawisie Taylor continued his outstanding performance for Karela United as he struck in 31st minute to give them an important lead.
But striker Prince Opoku pulled parity in the 83rd minuted with a powerful header from Joseph Tetteh Zutah sublime cross to snatch a point for the Mauves and Yellow side.
The Miners however, proved very troublesome in the game as they tormented the hosts on many occasions in attempt to restore parity.
But their incessant pressure was not enough to get them the much anticipated goal as they went into recess with a 1-0 deficit.
Nonetheless, Medeama returned the break, looking the better of the two sides with some thrilling and entertaining display to the delight of their supporters who thronged the stadium.
They efforts finally paid off as striker Opoku Agyemang leveled things up for Medeama with a late fine strike to register his sixth league goal of the season.
