Bechem United Football Club Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Gyasi Atuahene, has indicated that Kassim Mingle Ocansey’s departure from the club was not due to a lack of funds, but rather a desire to take on a new challenge.
He stated this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports following the recent confirmation of Mingle’s departure from Bechem and appointment by Nations FC.
Mingle joins forces with Nations after Dr. Kwame Kyei’s club was promoted to the betPawa Ghana Premier League 2023-2023 season following their triumph in the Division One League.
Atuahene insisted that the former Accra Great Olympics coach’s departure from Nations FC has nothing to do with money.
“Per the reasons he gave, he didn’t attribute [his exit] to money,” he said.
“He only indicated that the stay that he has had with the club is enough…so he thinks that it is high time he moved on and try other challenges. I can confidently say that per the discussions that went on, it had nothing to do about money.”
