Yeboah’s two goals before the break helped Minnesota overturn an early deficit and take firm control of the encounter at PayPal Park.
San Jose took the lead as early as the fourth minute after Timo Werner converted from the penalty spot.
Minnesota responded six minutes later when Joaquín Pereyra restored parity following a pass from Anthony Markanich.
Yeboah then completed the turnaround in the 40th minute, finishing off a Kervin Arriaga assist to put Minnesota ahead.
The forward struck again just four minutes later, capitalising on a chance created by Owen Gene to give his side a 3-1 lead going into the interval.
Minnesota maintained its dominance after the restart, with Marcus Caldeira adding a fourth goal in the 65th minute.
Mauricio González completed the rout in the 86th minute after receiving an assist from Pereyra.
Yeboah was substituted in the 83rd minute after an outstanding attacking display, with his two goals providing the foundation for Minnesota United’s emphatic victory.
