King Faisal Football Club is currently in discussions to appoint Ignatius Osei-Fosu as their new head coach for the first team.
This comes after the recent sacking of Jimmy Cobblah, who was unable to lift the team out of the relegation zone despite being appointed in October 2022 to help them avoid relegation.
Although Cobblah initially managed to improve the team’s performance in the first few weeks of his tenure, things quickly took a turn for the worse. After playing 23 matches this season, King Faisal remains in the relegation zone, and Cobblah was seen looking distressed on the touchline during the team’s disappointing 4-2 defeat to Kotoku Royals, who are currently at the bottom of the league table.
With concerns about the possibility of relegation mounting, King Faisal’s management has decided to replace Cobblah with a new coach. According to reports, Ignatius Osei-Fosu, a former Dreams FC coach, is being considered for the position.
If the ongoing talks are successful, Osei-Fosu will be confirmed as the new King Faisal coach on Monday, taking on the challenge of steering the team to safety and avoiding relegation from the Ghana Premier League.
