Kobbie Boateng Mainoo keeps on shocking the football world with his performances for Manchester United. The 18-year-old at Kenilworth Road in Luton showed his worth for Manchester United in the Red Devils hard-fought 2-1 win over The hatters.
Former Arsenal forward, Ian Wright praised the youngster and called for his inclusion in England’s next call-up.
“Kobbie Mainoo has to be in the next England squad,” said Wright.
England U21 are planning to give the Stockport-born Ghanaian midfielder a call-up but Ian Wright thinks he should be called up straight to the Three Lions set-up.
“Such maturity in chaotic conditions that we’ve not seen from an England player for a long time,” added Ian Wright.
The former England winger thinks that Kobbie Mainoo’s performance belies his age as he has matured to the extent that it has been a while since the England National Team had such a player.
“I am impressed every time I watch him,” added Ian Wright.
Wright confirmed his admiration for the young boy whenever he watched him play.
Ghana is interested in adding the services of Kobbie Boateng Mainoo to the Black Stars as his parents are Ghanaians hence he is eligible to represent Ghana as well.
Kobie Mainoo showed great composure when Manchester United played against Luton Town on Sunday afternoon in the English Premier League.
