The newly appointed Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has quickly begun work after officially taking office.
On Monday, February 10, the Minister held a key meeting with officials from the Ghana Football Association (GFA). This meeting aligns with President John Dramani Mahama’s directive for the Minister to prioritize reforms in sports by collaborating with the GFA.
“I expect that you concentrate on building up all the sporting disciplines. I know the Ghana Football Association would be a good place to start to make sure that we return the Black Stars to their glory days,” President Mahama emphasized during the swearing-in ceremony.
Kofi Adams is also expected to engage with other stakeholders in the coming weeks as part of a broader agenda to revitalize Ghana’s sports sector.
His mandate includes not only reviving the Black Stars but also ensuring that all sporting disciplines thrive under the leadership of the new administration.
