Prominent Ghanaian contractor Kofi Gyebi Job, Chief Executive Officer of Kofi Job Construction Limited, is reportedly being considered for a position on the board of Asante Kotoko SC, according to Kickgh.com.
Reports indicate that Manhyia Palace, in collaboration with the club’s newly constituted board of directors, is exploring the possibility of bringing the Kumasi-based businessman on board, with discussions already said to be ongoing.
Earlier this month, Manhyia announced a three-member board to oversee the affairs of the club. The board is chaired by James Osei Brown, Chief Executive Officer of Joshob Construction, while Kwasi Osei Ofori, CEO of Rocksure International, serves as Vice-Chairman. The third member is Kofi Amoa-Abban, Founder and CEO of Rigworld Group.
Kofi Gyebi Job is widely recognized in Ghana’s construction sector for his involvement in major infrastructure projects. Aside from his business ventures, he is also known for his philanthropic work and evangelical activities, including organizing prayer festivals.
However, his company has occasionally faced scrutiny over alleged project delays and safety concerns related to some construction works.
Meanwhile, the club’s Interim Management Committee of Asante Kotoko, led by Nana Apinkra, will continue to oversee the day-to-day running of the club until the conclusion of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
