Retired Ghanaian referee Seidu Bomison has given his opinion regarding the controversial penalty decision awarded Asante Kotoko by Kenndy Padi in their Super Clash victory over Hearts of Oak.
The Phobians have since filled a formal complaint against Padi for what they term as “unprofessional conduct”.
“I will say that there was a contact on the Kotoko player by the Hearts player. Now if contact was made , how was it made. That is what we have to look at.” Bomison told Asempa FM.
“Was the contact reckless or not. When it comes to penalty decisions you also look at the referee position and his angle of the incident.” the former referee continued.
“There was a contact of the foot by the Hearts player and also there was also a pull on the Kotoko attacker and based on these reasons I agree with the penalty decision even though the replays do not give us all the angles.” Seidu Bomison added.
