The Chief Executive Officer- CEO, of Asante Kotoko Nana Yaw Amponsah, has declared his readiness to assist the hierarchy of the Ghana Football Association in securing a headline sponsor for the country’s domestic league.

According to the hard-working and enterprising football guru, he would not hesitate to use his expertise in assisting the football governing body to secure a lucrative deal for the top flight if he was approached by the Kurt Okraku-led administration.

The Ghana Premier League and the Division One League have been without any sponsors apart from the tokens they earn from TV rights holders, StarTimes.

Many have described Nana Yaw Amponsah as the best CEO currently in Ghana, taking into consideration how he has changed the face of the Porcupine Warriors in just a year coupled with the number of sponsorships he has secured in his short spell.

Nana Yaw Amponsah and his management have raised the commercial status of Kotoko with lofty partnership deals. Asante Kotoko currently has sponsorship deals with Hisense, Adonko Next Level Energy Drink, StarLife Assurance, CEEK, GOIL, CedarVite, Ticketlake, Zeepay, and Access Bank.  The club also has partnership deals with VEO, Instat football, and Italian firm Errea as its kit suppliers.

Speaking on Oyerapa FM, he indicated that the expertise of individuals should be respected as it would go a long way to help the game flourish.

“I have always said that people don’t respect expertise. I am part of Ghana Football, so if the GFA is ready to engage me to help get sponsorships for the GPL, why not? I will be ready to assist them in that regard. ”

Nana Yaw Amponsah lost the 2019 Ghana Football Association presidency to Kurt Simeon Okraku.
