Asante Kotoko’s new signing, Joseph Ablorh, has drawn parallels with the legendary Brazilian defender Thiago Silva, citing his aggressive and dominant playing style.
The 26-year-old centre-back inked a two-year deal with the Porcupine Warriors ahead of the 2024/25 football season.
In an exclusive interview with the club’s media team, Ablorh revealed his inspiration: “My style is just like Thiago Silva. I’m aggressive on the field of play and also good in aerial duels. I possess the qualities of a good defender.”
Ablorh’s impressive credentials at Hafia FC during the 2020/2021 season, where he earned recognition for his strong tackling and aerial prowess, have made him a valuable addition to Asante Kotoko’s squad.
With over 20 players departing the team at the end of the season, Kotoko’s decision to bolster their roster with Ablorh and other signings aims to strengthen their chances in upcoming campaigns.
As a key player for the Porcupine Warriors, Ablorh is expected to make a significant impact in the upcoming season.
