Asante Kotoko forward, Steven Dese Mukwala, has earned a spot in coach Paul Put’s 26-man squad for the upcoming international friendly matches against Comoros and Ghana later this month.

The Uganda Cranes are slated to clash with Ghana’s Black Stars on March 26, 2024, in Morocco, just four days after their initial encounter with Comoros.

These friendly fixtures serve as crucial preparation for the Uganda Cranes ahead of a packed international schedule this year, including AFCON 2025 qualifiers and the resumption of the FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign.

Mukwala, a pivotal figure for Asante Kotoko throughout the current Ghana Premier League campaign, has emerged as the team’s top goal-scorer, notching eight goals and providing one assist in 16 domestic top-flight matches.

The 24-year-old, set to depart from the Porcupines at the end of the season, is expected to maintain his impressive form as Kotoko faces Karela United in Nalerigu later today in a Ghana Premier League Matchweek 20 encounter.
