Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum is set to receive a $36,000 settlement package following his exit from Asante Kotoko, according to an exclusive report from Nhyira FM.
The compensation includes five months of unpaid salary amounting to $20,000, along with a severance package worth $16,000. The payout follows the decision by the Porcupine Warriors to part ways with Ogum after a disappointing run of form that dented the club’s hopes of winning the Ghana Premier League title.
Ogum, who was reappointed in 2023 for a second spell in charge, struggled to recapture the success of his earlier tenure. His departure marks a significant change in the club’s technical leadership as Asante Kotoko looks to salvage their season.
In the wake of Ogum’s exit, the club has appointed veteran coach Abdul Karim Zito as interim manager. Zito has been tasked with revitalizing the squad as they push to finish the season strongly, with six games remaining and a place in the MTN FA Cup semi-finals still in play.
Kotoko currently sit fourth on the league table, six points adrift of leaders Bibiani Gold Stars.
