KSV Holstein has decided to release striker Kwasi Okyere Wriedt, allowing him to explore other options after a successful loan spell at VfL Osnabrück.
The 29-year-old Ghanaian forward will no longer participate in the team’s training sessions and has been granted permission to seek a new club.
According to sporting director Carsten Wehlmann, the decision was made amicably and transparently, with discussions involving the player and his representatives.
“We have been in talks with the agents and players. Everything has been done amicably and everyone knows about it. We sought talks early on,” Wehlmann explained.
Despite currently having no inquiries for Wriedt, Wehlmann remains optimistic about the player’s prospects. “There are still no inquiries for either player, but I believe that there is a market for the players. It is only a matter of time before something happens,” he added.
During his loan stint at VfL Osnabrück in Bundesliga 2, Wriedt made 24 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist in all competitions.
