Mohammed Kudus has returned to the Black Stars squad after recovering from a lengthy injury layoff that ruled him out of Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign.
The Tottenham Hotspur forward is among the players selected by head coach Carlos Queiroz for Ghana’s upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Côte d’Ivoire and The Gambia.
Kudus spent about seven months on the sidelines due to injury but has now regained his fitness and is back in contention for the national team.
His return provides another attacking option for the Black Stars as they begin their campaign to qualify for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
Kudus’ last major involvement with Ghana was disrupted by injury, forcing him to miss the 2026 World Cup. His return is therefore expected to add quality and experience to the squad ahead of the qualifiers.
Ghana will face Côte d’Ivoire on September 24 before hosting The Gambia on September 29 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Black Stars will later travel to Morocco for an international friendly against the Atlas Lions on October 4.
