Kurt Okraku goes berserk on Black Stars players ahead of Sudan clash: Was he right?

Kurt Okraku was 100% right concerning his words to the Black Stars!!!

“Kurt Okraku has every right to go berserk on Black Stars players. Players have been lazy lately”, wrote on Facebook by Muftawu Adamu, a seasonal journalist at Radio Gold in Accra.

The experienced sports writer’s choice of words were so attractive like the way Kurt Okraku addressed Black Stars players during their breakfast on Wednesday morning at the Alisa Hotel in Accra.

Kurt went crazy on the stars as he delivered an emotional monologue infront of the speechless players. The players kept quiet and watched their president talk and talk and talk alone.

“Let me roll the time back, few weeks ago, we played against Niger, how did you guys feel when you went back home to your bases?”, Kurt asked.

“Having drawn against Niger, how did you feel? Are we happy? Were you happy? Niger! Come on guys. You drew 1-1 against Niger. You drew 1-1 against Niger, that was the scoreline, no joke! 1-1 against Niger?”, GFA president said.

Kurt Okraku addresses Black Stars players over recent poor performance

Everything points to the fact that Kurt was very angry with how things panned out in September’s qualifiers. Ghana lost 1-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium against Angola sending a signal to Ghanaians that a tough battle is ahead in Ghana’s quest to participate in the 2025 AFCON in Morocco. That was never enough as the lacklustre Black Stars disappointingly drew against Niger. The draw against Niger worsened things as Ghanaians have been wondering what exactly the problem is with the Black Stars.

“4 or 5 of the players that played for Niger, sorry, cannot play in my club. That’s the truth but Ghana played 1-1 against Niger”, Kurt boasted.

Kurt might not be wrong concerning the quality of the Niger team that secured a point in Berkane against Ghana. 4 or 5 players that started against Ghana might not start for Dreams FC team that reached the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup last season.

“What did we see? We saw a Black Stars team without energy, passion, without the desire to play. It is not possible like this”.

People have questioned the desire, energy, passion and commitment of the current Black Stars on so many occasions. The Black stars led by Stephen Appiah, John Mensah and Asamoah Gyan showed incredible passion and fighting spirit always since the beginning of the 21st Century. This is what the Ghana Football Association president expects from the team always.

“The minimum i expect, the minimum Ghana expects is a team of boys or men who will show passion to play for Ghana”, Kurt added.

Kurt Okraku is the boss of Ghana’s Football Association and he spoke like a boss who feels betrayed and disappointed by his subordinates. He spoke like a president who is addressing his soldiers who will depart in the next 24 hrs to defend thier nation at war.

One could feel the wildness and the disappointments in Okraku’s face when speaking to the players. His administration has faced massive criticisms from Ghanaians and failing to qualify for the 2025 AFCON will be disastrous to Kurt and his entourage.

Ghana will face Sudan on Thursday at 4 pm at the Accra Sports Stadium with everyone expecting the Black Stars to go berserk on Sudan.
