Asante Kotoko’s returning striker Kwame Opoku has expressed his excitement about the level of talent within the team’s squad.

The 27-year-old forward rejoined the Porcupine Warriors on a two-and-a-half-year deal after spells in Algeria and Morocco. Speaking to the club’s media, Opoku shared his enthusiasm about playing alongside highly skilled teammates.

“I’ve noticed a lot of quality in the players during our matches. Everyone has a chance to display their abilities, and as we build more chemistry, things will only get better,” Opoku said.

The striker also highlighted the strong bond between the coach and players. “We all get along very well. Even in training, everyone puts in their best. There’s a great connection with the coach,” he added.

Opoku wasted no time in making his presence felt on the field, scoring his first goal since his return in a 2-0 win over Bibiani Gold Stars.

Looking ahead, Opoku is eager for Asante Kotoko’s upcoming Matchday 16 clash against Medeama Sporting Club on Sunday, January 5, at the TNA Park.
