Ghanaian striker Kwame Peprah was awarded Man of the Match after his game-changing performance led Kerala Blasters FC to a 2-1 comeback victory over Mohammedan SC in the Indian Super League.
Starting from the bench, Peprah made an immediate impact after replacing Alexandre Coeff in the 64th minute. Mohammedan SC had taken the lead in the 28th minute when Mirjalol Kasimov coolly converted a penalty, putting the hosts 1-0 up at halftime.
Kerala Blasters, determined to fight back, pushed forward in the second half. Peprah equalized in the 67th minute, finishing from close range after an assist from Noah Sadaoui. His goal not only leveled the score but also marked a turning point, breaking Kerala Blasters’ winless record against Mohammedan SC.
Just eight minutes later, Jesús Jiménez sealed the victory, heading in a cross from Naocha Singh to make it 2-1. Despite Mohammedan’s late attempts to equalize, Kerala Blasters held firm, securing a crucial away win.
Peprah’s vital contribution earned him the Man of the Match honor, and Kerala Blasters now prepare for their next fixture against Bengaluru FC on October 25th.
