Kwame Poku provided an assist during Peterborough United’s 3-1 loss to Portsmouth on Saturday afternoon.
Poku commenced the match at Fratton Park and played the full 90 minutes.
In the early stages of the game, Ricky-Jade Jones posed a challenge to goalkeeper Will Norris with a powerful run into the penalty area, just within the first four minutes.
Then, in the 19th minute, Ricky Jade-Jones netted a remarkable goal for the Posh, courtesy of an assist from Kwame Poku. After receiving the ball from Poku, Jade-Jones displayed skillful ball control, curling the ball past the static Norris.
Peterborough United had another half-chance at the back post following a well-placed cross from Poku, but Jones couldn’t find the target with his volley from a tight angle.
In the 29th minute, Poku came very close to scoring a splendid goal, narrowly missing the mark after a play initiated by Randall.
Colby Bishop managed to equalize for the home side on the 38th minute, heading home a cross from Swanson from close range.
The third and final goal for the home side was scored by former Lincoln City defender Regan Poole in the 59th minute.
