Former Black Stars captain, James Kwasi Appiah recorded his first victory as the head coach of Sudan after beating Chad in an international friendly game.
The Sudanese national team before Kwasi Appiah had gone without a win in four games and they broke that unwanted record with a 1-0 win over Chad at the King Fahd Stadium in Saudi Arabia.
Kwasi Appiah had to wait for two games before his first victory as his debut game as Sudan national team coach ended 1-1 against Tanzania.
Kwasi Appiah signed a three-year contract as the Sudan head coach with Ignatius Osei Fosu as his assistant coach and former Black Stars goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda as the goalkeeper’s trainer.
Kwasi Appiah will however not be in Ivory Coast after Sudan missed out on qualifying for the 2023 African Cup of Nations.
