Ghanaian defender Tariq Lamptey is expected to be back to the field in April.
The 22-year-old was forced off with a knee issue within the first 15 minutes of the Seagulls 4-0 win over West Ham earlier this month.
The scan taken shows that it is not as serious as thought and he could just be out for a month.
Lamptey will miss his club’s FA Cup game against Grimsby Town as well as Ghana’s AFCON qualifier against Angola.
He could however feature in Brighton’s away game against Bournemouth,
