Sportsworldghana.com understands that the 25-year-old central midfielder suffered a knock over the weekend and he has to stay back in Portugal for treatment.
Nelson who has gone through all the Angolan junior national teams before making his senior debut in 2016 already has nine caps to his credit.
His absence is a big blow to Coach Paulo Goncalves as he has been among the country’s top players in Europe this season.
