Laryea Kingston is poised to make a return to Hearts of Oak as part of the technical team for the upcoming 2023/24 season.
The former Hearts of Oak winger will take on the role of assistant coach as the club prepares to announce its new set of coaching staff.
Currently without a head coach after the departure of interim manager David Ocloo, the Accra-based club is determined to strengthen its technical setup.
Last season was challenging for the former Ghana Premier League champions, as they had to part ways with coach Samuel Boadu and later saw Serbian trainer Slavko Matic exit due to fan protests.
Reports indicate that Hearts of Oak has already shortlisted potential candidates for the vacant head coach position, and Laryea Kingston is set to be the deputy for the selected candidate.
Currently serving as the assistant coach of the Black Starlets, Kingston has been making strides in coaching. He played a part in the team’s success in winning the UEFA U16 Developmental tournament in Serbia.
With pre-season training expected to commence next week, Hearts of Oak will soon unveil their new technical team to prepare for the upcoming season.
