Leeds United are reportedly weighing up a January swoop for Coventry City’s prolific forward Brandon Thomas-Asante as they seek to strengthen their attack for the second half of the season.

The 26-year-old Ghana international has been in sensational form for the Sky Blues, netting 10 goals in 14 Championship appearances to sit atop the league’s scoring charts. His performances have drawn widespread attention, with Leeds among the clubs closely monitoring his progress.

Thomas-Asante’s current form builds on the promise he showed during his breakout spell at Salford City, where his eye for goal and work ethic first caught the attention of top-tier scouts.

However, any deal will not come cheap. The striker is under contract with Coventry until 2028, meaning the club are under no pressure to sell, and Leeds would need to table a substantial offer to tempt manager Frank Lampard into parting ways with his star man.

Lampard is reportedly determined to keep hold of Thomas-Asante, viewing him as essential to Coventry’s push for a return to the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Thomas-Asante’s electric form has also been rewarded on the international stage, with the striker expected to feature for Ghana in their upcoming friendly fixtures against Japan and South Korea.

His rapid rise this season has seen him emerge as one of the most lethal forwards in the Championship, making him a top target for promotion-chasing Leeds as they eye an attacking boost ahead of the new year.
