Head coach of Legon Cities, Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin, has called for patience as his team undergoes a rebuilding phase in the ongoing 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
Legon Cities have struggled to find consistent form, recording three wins, two draws, and six losses in their first 11 matches. With 11 points, they currently sit in 15th place on the league table, just above the relegation zone.
Addressing the media, Fabin emphasized the challenges of building a new team and urged fans to give the players time to find their rhythm.
“We are building a completely new team, so it will take some time before the team starts gelling. We have to work hard on our goalscoring,” he stated.
Over the weekend, Legon Cities showed resilience by coming from behind to secure a victory against Basake Holy Stars at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
Looking ahead, the team faces a tough challenge as they travel to Kpando to take on Bashir Hayford’s Heart of Lions in their matchday 12 encounter. Fabin and his squad will hope to build on their recent win to climb out of the lower ranks of the league.
