German-Ghanaian defender Leroy Kwadwo scored an early goal for 1860 München, but his efforts were not enough to prevent a disappointing 5-2 defeat to Dynamo Dresden in an action-packed 3. Liga clash on Sunday evening.
The match at the Rudolf-Harbig-Stadion kicked off with high intensity, as Dynamo Dresden took the lead in the 7th minute through a precise finish from Christoph Daferner. Kwadwo responded quickly for 1860 München, leveling the score just two minutes later with a composed left-footed strike from inside the box.
However, Dresden quickly regained the advantage, with Daferner scoring his second of the match in the 33rd minute. Just before halftime, Andi Hoti added another goal, putting Dresden 3-1 ahead.
In the second half, despite a valiant effort from 1860 München, including a penalty conversion by Maximilian Wolfram in injury time, goals from Tony Menzel in the 64th minute and Jakob Lemmer in the 71st minute sealed the win for Dresden.
Kwadwo, who was solid in defense and distribution, played 66 minutes but was unable to spark a comeback as 1860 München were left to reflect on missed opportunities.
