Rocky Dwamena, a young player for Asante Kotoko, has urged his teammates to conclude the Ghana Premier League season in a strong and impressive manner.
Dwamena’s call comes after Asante Kotoko secured a comfortable 3-1 victory over Kotoku Royals at the Theatre of Dreams on May 22, 2023.
George Mfegue’s brace in the first 30 minutes provided Asante Kotoko with an early advantage, while Richard Dzikoe scored for Kotoku Royals, reducing the deficit in the 35th minute.
In the second half, Rocky Dwamena added his name to the scoresheet with a goal in the 51st minute, securing the team’s victory. This goal marked Dwamena’s third goal of the season with three assists in 11 games.
Following the game, the young player took to Twitter and expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, emphasizing the importance of finishing the season in a stylish manner.
In his tweet, he wrote, “Lovely team play, let’s finish in style, the lord is our shepherd.”
As a result of their win against Kotoku Royals, Asante Kotoko has climbed to 4th position in the league standings with 47 points, trailing the leaders, Medeama, by 6 points.
Their next game will be against Karela United, which will take place in Kumasi.
