Libyan referee Ahmed Abdulrazg has been appointed to officiate Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Chad.
The highly anticipated Group I clash is set to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, at 7 p.m. local time.
Abdulrazg will be joined by a team of fellow Libyans, including Amsaaed Attia M. Essa as Assistant Referee I, Munji Alayat as Assistant Referee II, and Muhammad Saad Elmabrouk Elmabrouk as the Fourth Official.
Additionally, Togo’s Kokou Djaoupe has been designated as the Referee Assessor, while Sierra Leone’s Holland-Cole Kasho Joseph will serve as the Match Commissioner.
Ghana currently sits in second place in Group I with nine points from four matches, having secured three victories and suffered one defeat.
The Black Stars began their campaign with a narrow 1-0 win over Madagascar but faced a setback against Comoros. However, they bounced back strongly with consecutive victories over Mali and the Central African Republic in June last year.
With a spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup on the line, Ghana will be determined to claim another win to strengthen their position in the group standings.
Meanwhile, Chad will be eager to defy expectations and secure a positive result, making this encounter a crucial test for both sides.
