Liverpool are reportedly intensifying their interest in Ghanaian midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi, as the Premier League giants look to secure one of Africa’s most promising young talents ahead of the next transfer window.

The English club, with sporting director Richard Hughes leading recruitment efforts, has already initiated contacts with the player’s representatives as they explore a potential deal. Reports suggest that Yirenkyi could command a fee in the region of £22 million, reflecting his rapid rise and growing reputation in European football.

According to Team Talk, discussions have begun behind the scenes, with Liverpool positioning themselves early in the race amid growing competition from other English clubs monitoring his development.

Yirenkyi, who joined Danish side FC Nordsjælland in February 2025, remains under contract until 2030, giving the Superliga club strong leverage in any negotiations. Despite his relatively short time in Denmark, he has quickly established himself as a key figure in midfield.

This season, the Ghana international has recorded impressive numbers, scoring 2 goals and providing 5 assists in 21 league appearances in the Danish Superliga. His performances have further enhanced his reputation as a dynamic, technically gifted midfielder capable of influencing games in both attacking and defensive phases.

On the international stage, Yirenkyi has already earned 10 caps for Ghana, underlining his growing importance to the national team setup and his potential as a long-term midfield solution.
