Liverpool are reportedly considering offloading English-Ghanaian defender Jarell Quansah as part of their efforts to sign Bournemouth’s rising star, Dean Huijsen.
The Merseyside club is believed to be intensifying their interest in the highly-rated 20-year-old, who has also drawn attention from several European teams.
According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, Liverpool have made a “strong push” recently to secure Huijsen’s signature. He noted that “projects and figures have all been presented,” with the club currently evaluating whether to send Quansah out on loan or agree to a permanent transfer to make room for the Spaniard.
Quansah, 22, has enjoyed a breakthrough season, featuring in 11 Premier League games. He made his senior debut for Liverpool on August 27, 2023, in a 2–1 victory over Newcastle United. The young centre-back also netted his first goal for the club in a 2–1 defeat to Union Saint-Gilloise during a Europa League clash on December 14.
As per Transfermarkt, Quansah is currently valued at €22 million.
