Teenager Kobbie Mainoo has signed a long term contract with Manchester United and he is set to move to the senior side permanently when he turns 18.
Mainoo, 17, signed the four year deal with an option for one-year extension on February 9, 2023 and made his premier league debut against Leicester ten days later.
The talented central midfielder had been a prominent figure in the Manchester United U18 and U21 teams before his new contract.
He is currently with the English U19 team preparing to face Hungary at Walsall’s Bescot Stadium on Wednesday 22 March in an Euro qualifier.
Sportsworldghana.com understands that he will move to the senior team fully this summer as he would have attained 18 by then.
Mainoo will either be loaned to a Scottish Premier League club or be with the Manchester United senior team for the season based on his preseason output.
