Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies vs ASFAR

Venue: Stade Amadou Gon Coulibaly, Korhogo
Time: 5 pm

It doesn’t get much better than kicking off the semi-finals of a prestigious club competition with a repeat of last year’s finals.

ASFAR eviscerated Mamelodi Sundowns 4-0 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, yeah, 4-0 was the final score with a hattrick from Ibtissam Jraidi after Fatima Tagnout had put the Moroccans ahead in the 15th minute via penalty kick albeit Mamelodi Sundowns finished the game with 9 women- that is the story of the finals last year

Revenge will be on the mind of the Bayana Ba Style as they were disgraced and frustrated.

Mamelodi Sundowns is the only team that has a 100% record having won all three group-stage games with captain Zanele Nhlapo, Andile Dlamini, Chuene Morifi, Melinda Kgadiete and  Boitumelo Rabele all started last year’s 4-0 defeat, will be expected to start.

Jerry Tsabala and his women are ready for revenge.

ASFAR on the other hand bounced back to winning ways after losing their first game 2-1 against Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa Ladies with victories over Huracanes and AS Mande. The defending champions,  The leader, are ready to defend their title and will eye another victory over the perfect Brazillians.

ASFAR is a powerhouse in African football as they have made it to the semi-finals on three consecutive occasions.

They are undefeated against the Bayana Ba Style.

Expect an evening of fireworks between these two pacesetters of African women’s football.
