Manchester United have been linked with a move for the AZ Alkmaar U23s attacker Jayden Addai.

A report from Football Transfers claims that the 18-year-old winger has attracted the attention of the top clubs with his performances in the second tier of Dutch football. Addai has nine goals in 11 league games this season and it remains to be seen whether Manchester United can agree on a deal to sign him.

The Red Devils have scouted the player extensively this season and they were recently in attendance when AZ picked up a 4-3 win away from home against Molde FK. The talented young winger scored a goal and picked up two assists in the game and the Manchester United scout will have been impressed with his performance.

The winger has a contract with Alkmaar until the summer of 2025 and Manchester United will be hoping to agree on a reasonable deal for him. The 18-year-old should prove to be a quality long-term investment for the Red Devils and he will look to continue his development with ample football at Old Trafford if the transfer goes through.

The Red Devils have done well to nurture talented young players into established stars and they could help Addai fulfil his tremendous potential as well.

Manchester United have spent a substantial amount of money on players like Jadon Sancho and Antony in recent months. Both players have been quite underwhelming and they have failed to live up to the expectations. It is evident that Manchester United need to sign a quality winger and the 18-year-old could solve their problems. He has the potential to develop into a key player for Manchester United and he could end up saving millions in the market for them.

The opportunity to play for a Premier League club could be an exciting option for the youngster and he could be tempted to join a big club like Manchester United. The Red Devils are one of the biggest clubs in the world and they have the financial resources to get the deal done as well.

The 18-year-old needs to play regularly in order to fulfil his tremendous potential and he needs to join the club where he will get ample opportunities. He must seek gametime assurance from Manchester United before committing to a transfer in the near future.
