The Atlas Lions of Morocco remain the undisputed kings of Africa in terms of the FIFA Rankins. Although Morocco has moved from 12th to 13th on the world rankings, they remain the number-ranked team by FIFA.
In second place is the Lions of Teranga of Senegal who are ranked 17th Worldwide. Nigeria was ranked 28th in the world soon after the AFCON 2023 but has moved two places backwards to 30th albeit they maintain their 3rd spot. Egyot are 4th on the continent but 37 in the world with Ivory Coast enjoying the 5th place (38th in the world)
Tunisia (41), Algeria (43), Mali (44), Cameroon *51) and South Africa (59) complete the top 10 best teams ranked by FIFA for March respectively.
Egypt, Cote d’Ivoire, Tunisia, Algeria, Mali, Cameroon, and South Africa make the top 10 respectively.
Ghana is ranked 14th in Africa and 68th in the world as Burkina Faso, DR Congo and Zambia are all outside the top 10.
Djibouti (192), Seychelles (197) and Somalia (199)are the least-ranked teams by FIFA on the continent as they occupy 51, 52 and 53 positions.
