Former AC Milan striker Kevin-Prince Boateng believes that Mario Balotelli, former Manchester City forward, had the potential to secure three Ballon d’Or awards in his career.
Boateng, who played alongside Balotelli at AC Milan, closely witnessed the Italian’s talents. During his time at AC Milan, Balotelli scored 33 goals and provided nine assists in 77 games.
Balotelli’s remarkable journey began at Manchester City, where he made a name for himself with outstanding performances. The Italian netted 30 goals and contributed seven assists in 80 games for the Premier League champions.
Despite high expectations for Balotelli to ascend to the pinnacle of European football, his career took different paths with stints at clubs like Swiss side Sion and Turkish club Adana Demirspor.
Expressing his admiration for Balotelli, Boateng, a former Ghana international, stated, “I love Mario Balotelli, I think he could have won three Ballons d’Or.”
Balotelli achieved success by winning the Champions League with Inter Milan in 2010 and played for various clubs, including Man City, Liverpool and Marseille.
