Premier League giant Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC have been handed a massive boost as four players return from injury ahead of the top liner this weekend against Obuasi Ashantigold SC in the highly anticipated Ashanti Derby.
Asante Kotoko received a good news on Monday with the return of four injured players two days after their famous win over Aduana Stars FC in Dormaa.
Ahead of the Ashanti Derby showdown against AshantiGold this Sunday, players who were injured like Mohammed Sheriff, Samuel Boateng Isaac Oppong and Patick Asmah were all present at the team’s training grounds at Adako Jachie.
With the exception of Sheriff, Boateng, Asmah and Oppong have been out of Kotoko’s games for a while now but the trio took part in ‘full team’ training as they prepare for their game against the Miners this Sunday.
A club read: ”Forwards Samuel Boateng and Isaac Oppong returned to full team training today as they intensify their recovery from injury…
”@IamMsheriff also trained with the squad, having recovered fully from illness.”
Before the club announced the return of the four players to full training, Brazilian import Fabio Gama had also returned to training after missing the last two games.
Kotoko are top of the league table after 10 matches with a game in hand with 23 points and would be brimming in confidence when they take on Ashantigold this weekend following their first ever win Over Aduana Stars in Dormaa.
