In-form Asante Kotoko SC midfield kingpin, Richmond Lamptey will miss the big Ashanti Derby clash this weekend against Obuasi Ashantigold SC at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
The Red and Whites outfit in their last four games has always been hit with one or two major key player(s) absence and this will continue in their next game at home to their regional rivals.
The Porcupine Warriors will miss Lamptey’s services this Sunday due to the accumulation of yellow cards he had in games against Dreams FC, WAFA and Aduana Stars last Saturday.
The midfielder is unavailable for the game against the Miners due to suspension following the three yellow cards he has received this season.
After joining the club from relegated team, Inter Allies FC, Lamptey has gradually warmed himself into the hearts of many Asante Kotoko fans with a consistent performance.
The midfielder, who had his football training at the youth level from WAFA has scored three goals in the ongoing 2021-22 Ghana Premier League.
His absence could be felt on Sunday following his blistering start to life at the club and what he offers to Ogum’s team anytime he plays.
