The Black Queens have emerged victorious over Guinea in the African qualifiers for the 2024 Olympic Games.
The women’s qualifiers have commenced across the continent as teams compete for a chance to secure a spot at the Olympic Games in Paris, France next year.
In the second leg of the first round of the African qualifiers, the Black Queens hosted Guinea at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Ghana dominated the match, securing a 4-0 win against their opponents. Attacker Evelyn Badu opened the scoring in the first half, and in the second half, Princella Adubea and Fridaus Yakubu added to the tally. Evelyn Badu completed her brace, sealing the 4-0 victory for Ghana.
With a commanding 7-0 aggregate scoreline, Ghana advances to the second round of the African qualifiers for the 2024 Olympic Games.
In the next round, the Black Queens will face either Guinea Bissau or Benin, depending on the outcome of their tie.
