Dreams FC secured a spot in the semifinals of the 2022/23 MTN FA Cup by defeating Legon Cities 1-0 in extra-time at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.

Despite dominating the first half, Dreams failed to threaten Legon’s goal, with their only close chance coming in the 8th minute when Gael Aholou headed straight into the goalkeeper’s hands.

The game remained scoreless in the second half and went into extra-time, where Dreams took the lead in the 103rd minute through Ebenezer Adade’s curling shot.

Legon Cities dominated the rest of the game but failed to equalize, and Dreams FC advanced to the semifinals for the second consecutive time. Dreams FC will face the winner of the Skyy FC and Ebusua Dwarfs Division One game later this month.

The Black Stars’ Head Coach, Chris Hughton, was present to witness both sides’ display of good football.
