In a tough international friendly match, the Black Queens of Ghana managed to beat the Teranga Lioness of Senegal 1-0 on Tuesday afternoon.
This was the second encounter between the two women’s national teams, with the first match resulting in a 3-0 victory for the Black Queens.
Unlike the first match, Senegal played much better and did not concede in the first 45 minutes. However, in the second half, the Black Queens kept pushing until Evelyn Badu scored the solitary goal in the 84th minute, securing a 1-0 win for Ghana.
With this win, the Black Queens completed a double win over the Teranga Lioness in the international friendlies.
Nora Hauptle, the new head coach of the Ghana women’s national team, has now won three consecutive games since taking charge of the Black Queens.
