On Tuesday, Ghana’s male U-17 team, the Black Starlets, emerged as champions of the UEFA under-16 youth development tournament by defeating Switzerland 3-2.
Ramzy Asumadu scored two goals, and Debrah Bossman’s late strike secured Ghana’s victory in a thrilling five-goal match.
Although the Black Starlets twice lost their lead, they managed to clinch a crucial win with Bossman’s goal.
The team had previously won against Serbia and Spain in the tournament, with scores of 4-0 and 3-2, respectively.
Ghana’s flawless record of three wins out of three games earned them the tournament’s top spot.
