Karela United dominated Berekum Chelsea with a 4-1 victory in the Ghana Premier League at Cam Park.
The hosts capitalized on their home advantage and got off to a great start, scoring the first goal in the 17th minute with a converted penalty kick by Emmanuel Owusu Boakye. A minute later, the attacker doubled the lead for Karela United with a well-taken chance.
Before halftime, Kharim Ayeh’s equalizer for Berekum Chelsea did little to stop Karela United’s momentum. The hosts took a healthy lead into halftime.
In the second half, Medeama SC scored a consolation goal through Kofi Ansu Patrick, but Karela United continued their dominance, securing a delightful 4-1 victory with a fourth goal from Evans Adomako.
With this win, Karela United moved up in the Ghana Premier League table, while Berekum Chelsea missed out on a chance to gain ground on the league leaders.
