Ghana youth international Matthew Cudjoe opened his scoring account for the season after finding the net in Bnei Sakhnin’s 2-0 victory over Hapoel Petah Tikva in the Israeli Ligat Ha’Al on Saturday.
The 22-year-old attacker doubled Sakhnin’s advantage with a composed finish inside the penalty area after defender Leeroy Owusu delivered a well-timed pass from the right flank.
Cudjoe calmly placed a low effort beyond the goalkeeper to seal an important victory for his side and mark his first goal of the campaign.
The Ghanaian forward has now made seven appearances in the Israeli top flight this season as he continues to play a key role in Sakhnin’s attacking setup.
Bnei Sakhnin had earlier taken control of the match when Ahmad Salman opened the scoring in the 30th minute, setting the foundation for a comfortable home victory.
Cudjoe’s contribution capped off an impressive team performance, with Sakhnin securing all three points while keeping a clean sheet.
The goal will serve as a confidence boost for the former Ghana youth international as he looks to build momentum in the remainder of the season.
