Medeama SC has officially solidified its aspirations by securing the services of the former Ghana Premier League goal maestro, Diawisie Taylor.

The announcement comes as the club finalized an agreement with Taylor, who previously showcased his goal-scoring prowess with Karela United FC, to join on a long-term contract, the financial details of which remain undisclosed.

At 24 years old, Diawisie Taylor is poised to contribute significantly to Medeama’s attacking force, enhancing their capabilities as they gear up to defend their coveted Premier League title. The accomplished striker is set to embark on a two-year tenure with the club, bringing a wealth of experience and a reputation for finding the back of the net with aplomb.

The anticipation surrounding Taylor’s arrival in Tarkwa, scheduled for today (Monday) January 8, 2024, adds an air of excitement to the club’s atmosphere. As he steps onto Medeama’s turf, the formalities that accompany his transition will unfold, marking the commencement of a new and promising chapter in his footballing adventure.

Diawisie Taylor’s journey to prominence began during his tenure with Karela United, where his performances earned him a revered status among fans. The pinnacle of his domestic success came in the 2020/21 season, where his prolific goal-scoring exploits, tallying an impressive 18 goals, secured him the coveted goal king accolade.

Following his exploits in the Ghanaian top flight, Taylor ventured beyond national borders, testing his skills with Egyptian side Future FC before making a notable stop in Sudan with Al Merrikh. These experiences have undoubtedly molded him into a more seasoned and versatile player, ready to make a lasting impact with Medeama SC.

The strategic move to pair Diawisie Taylor with leading marksman Jonathan Sowah creates a tantalizing prospect for Medeama’s attacking dynamics. The synergy between these two potent strikers is poised to be a focal point in the club’s pursuit of continued success in the Premier League and potentially on the broader continental stage.

As the curtain rises on this new chapter, the supporters eagerly await the on-field chemistry that Taylor and Sowah will cultivate, hoping for a goal-scoring partnership that will further solidify Medeama SC’s standing as a force to be reckoned with in Ghanaian football. The arrival of Diawisie Taylor signifies not only a significant acquisition for the club but also a statement of intent as they strive for sustained excellence in the upcoming footballing endeavors.
