Seth Ablade, Medeama’s newly appointed technical director is due to meet the club’s top officials in the coming days for showdown talks and discussions. Top of the agenda will be to name the substantive new coach of the club with it believed that coaches Yaw Acheampong and Yaw Preko are in pole position to both land the vacant coaching job at Tarkwa.
Medeama are on the hunt for a new coach after Samuel Boadu, who has since been confirmed as the new Hearts of Oak coach, left the club citing personal reasons. Hot on the heels of the confirmation of coach Boadu’s departure, names including Maxwell Konadu, Ibrahim Tanko, Steve Polack have all been sounded out as possible replacements.
However, SPORTSworldGhana.com have been understands that that Yaw Preko and Yaw Acheampong have both been contacted with talks set to go on and finally concluded before the weekend which will pave the way for the club to name their new coach with it believed that the club could even decide to appoint both coaches to come assume the reins.
Yaw Acheampong is looking to quickly land a new role after his tumultuous departure from Elmina Sharks whiles Yaw Preko is seeking to land himself a top job having served as deputy coach in various past roles with the assistant manager role at Olympics the latest one.
