Chelsea and Ghanian legend, Michael Essien has named the biggest threat he faced in his carer that spanned closed to two decades.
Michael Essien played for big clubs including Lyon, Chelsea, Real Madrid and AC Milan but spent 9 years in the Premier League will playing at the Stamford Bridge.
The Ghanaian met many top opposing players in his career but he has named Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes as the biggest threat he faced in his career.
“I have faced a lot of good players in my career. It’s difficult to tell. I face the likes of Xavi, [Andres] Iniesta and a lot…Steven Gerrard,” he said in an interview with Goal.
“But I always say Paul Scholes is one of the players that was quite tough,” Michael Essien added.
