Former England striker Michael Owen has heaped praise on Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo following his standout performance for AFC Bournemouth in their Premier League clash against Fulham on Monday night.
Semenyo was the hero of the match, scoring the only goal to secure a 1-0 victory for Bournemouth. His well-taken finish gave his side all three points and continued his fine run of form this season.
Reacting to Semenyo’s display after the game, Michael Owen had high words of admiration. “I love this boy. I like him. He is a top talent,” the former Ballon d’Or winner said.
The goal was Semenyo’s eighth in the Premier League this season, and his first since January 25, when he scored against Nottingham Forest.
The Black Stars striker has become a key player for Bournemouth and continues to attract interest from bigger clubs. Reports suggest that Liverpool and Arsenal are keeping an eye on him ahead of the summer transfer window, although no official offers have been made yet.
With his consistent performances, Semenyo is proving to be one of the standout Ghanaian players in Europe this season.
